Rayana Rasamee is a Thai-American cinematographer drawn to character-driven stories told through tactile and emotionally resonant imagery. Her work explores identity, transformation and interior emotional landscapes through expressive visual language.
Rayana received her MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute Conservatory. She is a recipient of the Women in Film Cinematography Fellowship and was selected for the ASC Vision Mentorship under Nancy Schreiber, ASC, as well as Issa Rae’s ColorCreative: Find Your People program.
Her work spans narrative features, documentaries and commercial campaigns for brands including Valentino, Planned Parenthood, Ulta, and Mercury Insurance. Her films have screened at festivals including AFI Fest, Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, and the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival.
