Ray Rasamee is a Thai-American cinematographer based in Los Angeles. Her passion for the art of storytelling is drawn from a desire to inspire, uplift and introduce new perspectives.
Ray’s camera work encompasses narrative films, music videos and commercials for select clients such as Disney, L’Oreal, Toyota, Puma, WNBA and Harper’s Bazaar. Her career in film took off after spending nearly a decade working in tech. Currently, she is pursuing her MFA in Cinematography at the American Film Institute Conservatory with support from AFI Awards Audi Scholarship, Tom Yoda Award and P.E.O International. In 2018, Ray was accepted in the inaugural class of AFI’s Cinematography Intensive for Women Workshop (CIW) and holds a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University of Maryland.
